as a Non-Governmental (NGO) international Organization
The operation on an innovative alliance, of countries-members of the European Union, such as France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Malta, as well as other countries surrounding the Mediterranean sea, such as Morocco Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Palestinian Authority, Israel, Lebanon, Turkey, Albania, Montenegro, Croatia, Monaco.
Among the first priorities of the FORUNIMED are:
- The initiatives of the de-pollution of the Mediterranean Sea
- The studies upon the climate change
- The studies upon sustainable development and desertification.
Individual and systematic efforts will be paid upon climate Change Measurements, Innovative solar energy studies, sea water desalination, innovative agricultural non-food biofuels.
Another area of interest of the FORUNIMED is dealing with Migration and social interaction at the countries of the Mediterranean Sea.

FORUNIMED has prioritized its efforts upon:
Encouraging efforts of international organizations and other non-governmental organizations for the observations, measurement and/or research programs and projects related with climate changes in the Mediterranean Sea.
Fresh water studies for the Mediterranean Countries will be arranged, with a special focus upon the North African Countries.
Non-food Agricultural Biofuels as well as a special approach upon the occasional overproduction of sugar bits, potato, wheat, maize.
Sea pollution measurements and water acidity measurement studies.
CARBON Capture and Storage Unit
- Studies of absorption and absorption characteristics of limestones
- Special studies upon the rock bed in coal producing areas
- Innovative plants for biofuels in wet – dry soil for crops –to-ethanol
- Optimum analysis studies for windmill sea structures
- Technical and Financial Feasibility studies for windmill in small- non-populated islands near-by Athens
- Innovative method for solar energy (sun-to-stem)
- Multiple osmosis sea-water desalinations or industrial or agricultural water purification.
